  • CCG releases Bluebook report on Chinese international schools in 2018

    On Nov. 3, CCG and South-south International Education Research Institute jointly released the Bluebook Report on Chinese International Schools in 2018 at the 3rd Integrate to Innovate International Education Forum in Dalian. Based on the survey of Chinese international schools and their faculty, the report provides an analysis about the concept of “localized international education” and recommendation on China’s international education in the future.

  • China Think Tank Impact Report (2018) released; CCG ranked top non-governmental think tank

    The Center for China and Globalization China was ranked the top non-governmental think tank for its overall influence by the “China Think Tank Influence Report (2018)” released at the Sichuan Academy of Social Sciences on November 25, 2018. The report is an outcome of a joint study by the Sichuan Provincial Academy of Social Sciences and the Chinese Literature and Information Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Chengdu. It is also the first ranking list in China to evaluate the social influence of think tanks.

  • CCG president shares views at opening of exhibition on China-US trade in Hong Kong

    On December 13, 2018, CCG President Wang Huiyao gave an opening speech at a seminar on Sino-US trade hosted by the Hinrich Foundation in Hong Kong. The event marked the opening of a new exhibition on the history of China-US trade at the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

  • Strengthening Regional Cooperation for a Shared Future: China-India Cooperation in the Himalayan Region

    On December 5, 2018, the first round of the Silk Spice Road Dialogues convened in Beijing at the UNDP China office and Center for China and Globalization(CCG) office with the UNDP, CCG and Himalayan Consensus as the co-hosts. Nicholas Rosellini,UNDP China Representative, Nirupama Rao, former Indian Foreign Secretary and former Indian Ambassador to China, US and Sri Lanka, CCG President Dr Wang Huiyao, Himalayan Consensus Institute founder Laurence Brauhm, Himalayan Consensus Institute Secretary-General Sujeev Shakya and over 20 experts in the fields of foreign policy and global governance to discuss and exchange views on China-India relations, bilateral cooperation and challenges in the Himalayas, and cooperation between the two countries in addressing climate change.

  • CCG Hong Kong Council publishes its report on “Global Talent in the Greater Bay Area”

    On Thursday 13th December the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) published its report “Global Talent in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Bay Area”, which discusses the composition and development of global talent in the “Greater Bay Area.” The publishing of the report was marked by a meeting, with speeches delivered by the Director of CCG, Dr Wang Huiyao, and CCG Secretary General , Dr Miao Lu, announcing the official release of the report. The conference, held at the Jianyin International building in Hong Kong, was attended by experts, scholars and entrepreneurs from Hong Kong and the mainland, discussions on the status of global talent in the Greater bay area and its future were also held.

  • CCG holds reform and opening-up 40th anniversary book series launch

    On December 18th, a General Assembly of government officials and prominent figures was gathered at the Great Hall of the People to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up. Where President Xi Jinping delivered a speech to the General Assembly reviewing the 40 years of reform and underscoring the valuable experience China earned over the past four decades of reform and opening-up.

  • CCG releases third report about inbound tourism with Ctrip.com

    On January 10, 2019, CCG and Ctrip (Ctrip) jointly released the 3rd edition of the series reports on outbound tourism and China’s globalization, focusing on “Reforming China’s Visa Policy to Reduce Tourism Deficit”. The report analyzes the impact of the new trend of visa electronicalization on the China’s widening tourism deficit. It also points out the challenges facing China’s visa policy and immigration management. Citing successful practice of various countries in visa policy innovation. the report suggests several measures for visa policy innovation to promote China’s globalization and show the world a more open China in the new era.
