  • CCG Annual Report: Number of Chinese Studying Abroad Reaches Record High in 2016; More International Students in China Come from Countries along B&R

    On Dec. 18, 2017, CCG released the bluebook Annual Report on the Development of Chinese Studying Abroad 2017, in cooperation with the Institute of Development at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics and the Social Sciences Academic Press. The sixth book of the sequel is focused on the new challenges and opportunities presented by the globalization driven by “One Belt and One Road” Initiative in 2016.

  • CCG celebrates 10th anniversary, looks forward to carrying on its mission in the coming decades

    CCG was created in 2008 with an aim to promote China’s role in the globalization. 10 years later, on the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up policy, CCG celebrates its 10thbirthday with a strong drive to contribute more to think tank innovation and China’s globalization. On June 30, 2018, over 100 Chinese and international government officials, business leaders, and scholars, as well as foreign diplomats, gathered in Beijing at CCG’s anniversary reception to review its achievements in the past decade and discuss how to build a brighter future.

  • CCG book examines the role of China’s new State Immigration Administration

    On June 9 in Beijing, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) launched a new book examining China’s policy innovations in migration management. Titled State Immigration Administration: Building a competitive immigration system for China, the book was co-authored by CCG President Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Miao Lu and published by China Academy of Social Sciences Press.

  • CCG invited as founding member of “Think Tank Alliance on US Issues

    On July 14, the Ministry of Finance’s International Economics and Finance Institute hosted a seminar on the impacts and trends of the Sino-US trade war. The event also saw the founding ceremony of the Think Tank Alliance on US Issues, of which CCG is one of the first members.

  • Launch of Harvard Kennedy School Alumni China Public Policy Forum

    On January 13, 2013, Harvard Kennedy School Alumni China Public Policy Forum was launched at Beijing International Hotel. This forum was co-sponsored by Harvard Kennedy School, School of Public Policy and Management of Tsinghua University, Center for China and Globalization, China Talent Research Society, the David M. Rubenstein Fund, China Association for International Exchange of Personnel, China CITIC Press and Western Returned Scholars Association Policy Advisory Committee.

  • CCG releases new report Understanding the US-China Trade War: Analysis and CCG Recommendations

    At this crucial moment with both sides in deadlock, on July 24, the Center for China & Globalization (CCG) released the report “Understanding the US-China trade War: Analysis and CCG Recommendations.”

    Based on CCG’s long-term ongoing research and investigations through visits to the US, the report presents an in-depth, systematic appraisal of Sino-US economic relations. It draws on solid empirical research and data to dispel misunderstandings surrounding the current dispute and puts forward recommendations to resolve current tensions and promote the healthy development of Sino-US relations.
