CCG President Wang Huiyao Receives Award as Returned Overseas Chinese of the Year

The granting ceremony of the 3rd Overseas Returnee of the Year sponsored by the People’s Daily is held on Jan. 8, 2017. CCG President Wang Huiyao receives the award as one of the representatives of the Year for his extraordinary contribution in building new model of think tanks.
The ceremony attracts 400 guests either from the government or the public, including Qi Xuchun, the Vice-Chairman of the 12th CPPCC, Zhang Jianxing, Vice President of the People’s Daily, Long Yongtu, former Vice Minister of Commerce, Yu Hongjun, former Vice Minister of International Department of CPC Central Committee.
The “Returned Overseas Chinese of the Year” are selected for their performance in various fields based on a worldwide survey in 2016 by the People’s Tribute Magazine, an affiliation of the People’s Daily. Other awardees include Liu Baicheng, Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering; Qian Yingyi, Dean and Professor of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University; Yang Lan, Cofounder and Chairperson of the Sun Media Group; Wang Chaoyong, Founding Chairman & CEO of China Equity Group; and Zhou Chenggang, CEO of New Oriental Education and Technology Group Inc..
In addition, Mr. Cao Dewang, Founder and Chairman of Fuyao Automotive Glass, Senior Vice Chairman of CCG, and Mr. Long Yongtu, Chairman of CCG, are awarded as special honorees at the forum.
