  • CCG President Wang Huiyao Receives Award as Returned Overseas Chinese of the Year

    The granting ceremony of the 3rd Overseas Returnee of the Year sponsored by the People’s Daily is held on Jan. 8, 2017. CCG President Wang Huiyao receives the award as one of the representatives of the Year for his extraordinary contribution in building new model of think tanks.

  • CCG celebrates 10th anniversary, looks forward to carrying on its mission in the coming decades

    CCG was created in 2008 with an aim to promote China’s role in the globalization. 10 years later, on the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up policy, CCG celebrates its 10th birthday with a strong drive to contribute more to think tank innovation and China’s globalization. On June 30, 2018, over 100 Chinese and international government officials, business leaders, and scholars, as well as foreign diplomats, gathered in Beijing at CCG’s anniversary reception to review its achievements in the past decade and discuss how to build a brighter future.

  • New bluebook captures key trends in global migration

    June 9 saw the release of a new book that maps out shifting patterns of global migration and policy solutions to address these trends. The 2018 Report on China’s International Migration was co-authored by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Institute of Development Studies at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), with CCG President Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Miao Lu as chief editors.

  • 2017 “Global Go To Think Tank Index” Report Released; CCG Ranked among World’s Top 100 Think Tanks

    On Jan. 30, 2018, the 2017 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report (GGTTI), the most internationally influential think tank ranking system by the Think Tank and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, was launched in turn by more than 170 institutions in over 100 cities around the world. A great number of prestigious scholars and politicians including the heads of the Brookings Institute, Heritage Foundation, and the other 60 think tanks as well as former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, attended the launching ceremony in Washington, D.C. and New York. The event in China was held in the Penn Wharton China Center.

  • CCG Holds 4th “Talent 50” Forum, Releases 1st Book Series on Human Resource Development Abroad

    It has been increasingly recognized that talent is kind of strategic resource to achieve national rejuvenation and improve international competitiveness. To further discuss how to develop and implement more proactive, open and effective talent policies, CCG held the 4th “Talent 50” Forum on Jan. 10, and launched the first book series on the best practice of human resource development abroad.

  • Chinese Version of Global Value Chain Development Report 2017 Released at CCG

    The Center for China and Globalization held a releasing ceremony for an influential annual report on global value chain development in Chinese version, where former Minister of Commerce Chen Deming and other leading experts provided their insight about the role of global value chain development in the world economic growth.

  • The 2017 CTTI report: CCG tops social think tank list for 2 consecutive years with a wide margin

    Center for China and Globalization(CCG) gets the champion position among the top 10 social think tanks in China according to the  2017 China Think Tank Index (CTTI) reportjointly published by Center for China Think Tank Studies and Evaluation (CCTTSE) of Nanjing University and Think Tank Research and Release Center of Guangming Daily on December 21st, 2017.
