    This book brings together 38 leading international scholars and policy-makers, including Pascal Lamy, Joseph S. Nye Jr., Edmund Phelps, Lord Jim O’Neill, Wendy Cutler, Peter Maurer, H. E. Shaukat Aziz, Grzegorz W. Kołodko, Guangyao Zhu, Yafei He, Jeffrey Lehman, Denis F. Simon and 26 other authors, to explore the challenges and dilemmas of globalization and governance in an era increasingly defined by economic crises, widespread populism, retreating internationalism, and a looming cold war between the United States and China.

  • CCG Releases New Title: Consensus or Conflict?

    The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) is a Chinese non-governmental think tank based in Beijing. CCG has been granted the official special consultative status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) as a non-governmental organization. In the “2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index” by the University of Pennsylvania Think Tank and Civil Society Program (TTCSP), CCG ranked 64th of the top think tanks worldwide and among the top 50 global independent think tanks. CCC has also been recognized as a “4A non-governmental organization” by Beijing Municipal government civil affairs department.

    On October 8, 2021, CCG hosted the Francophonie Ambassadors Symposium “Francophonie, China and Sustainable Development” at its headquarters. The tragedy caused by the pandemic last year brought home how making peace with nature is more urgent than ever and how the 2030 SDGs point a way to a sustainable and inclusive recovery. As key milestone events for sustainability such as COP15 in Kunming increasingly call for more inclusive and networked multilateralism, China and the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) are well-positioned on the international agenda.
