On February 19, 2021, a forum with the theme “Beyond Westlessness: Renewing Transatlantic Cooperation, Meeting Global Challenges” was held online as part of the Munich Security Conference Special Edition 2021, bringing together the world’s most senior decision-makers and leaders from international organizations to discuss intensive topics, including global cooperation to fight the pandemic, climate change and transatlantic relations.

Dr. Mabel Lu MIAO elected as co-chair of T20 Task Force 8
Miao Lu, secretary-general of the Center for China and Globalization was selected to co-chair the T20 Task Force 8: Multilateralism and Global Governance. Dr. Miao was the only Chinese member and sole East Asian scholar on the task force.

CCG Ranked 64th in the World’s Top 100 Think Tanks
The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) has been recognized in 14 ranking categories of this report. As the only non-governmental think tank in China that has cemented its position in the world’s top 100 think tanks for the 4th year in a row, CCG’s ranking has greatly improved every year and is now ranked 64th, up 12 places from 2019.

CCG Report | China and the US in the Biden Era
On January 19, 2017, CCG released the report Trump’s Coming Era: Challenges, Opportunities and Policy Responses. Since then, CCG has continued to concentrate on developments in US politics and China-US relations via multiple track-II trips to Washington DC, numerous events featuring US-China think tank dialogue, and webinars promoting cross-Pacific discussion amidst the pandemic and deteriorating bilateral ties.
