CCG & TTCSP Co-host 5th China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum

On November 24, 2020, the fifth Annual China Think Tank Innovation Forum was held in Beijing, organized by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and co-hosted by Think Tanks and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) of the University of Pennsylvania. The forum aimed to discuss the latest changes in the world, address pressing issues for global think tanks, explore innovative models for the sustainable development of think tanks, and offer policy recommendations for China and the international community. More than 200 think tank experts participated in the forum through online and offline channels, and 2.6 million viewers from around the world watched the live broadcast of the forum.

From October 12 to 15, 2020, the State of Europe，an annual invite-only roundtable hosted by Brussels think tank Friends of Europe, moved online for a full week of activities with a “festival of politics and ideas to transform Europe.” The roundtable brought together EU Commissioners, current and former leaders and ministers from Europe and across the world, CEOs, senior representatives of European organizations and international institutions, members of European parliaments and national parliaments, mayors, civil society leaders and influential reporters to explore the various opportunities for Europe, discuss financing a sustainable transition, implementing a bold EU industrial strategy, and reflecting on Europe’s health systems.

CCG Webinar | Global migration amidst the pandemic

On August 25, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the International Organization of Migration (IOM) jointly held an online publication ceremony for the World Immigration Report 2020 and a seminar on related migration issues. The event brought together a group of leading experts in relevant fields to share their thoughts and insights on related issues.

CCG translated the World Immigration Report 2020 into Chinese. This is the fourth time CCG and IOM have worked together on the Chinese edition of one of the most influential reports in the field of international migration.
