Roundtables
CCG pays close attention to international relations, promotes China and globalization, actively engages in international exchange, and gives full play to its role as a "Track II diplomacy" think tank. Our think tank organizes sub-forums, bilateral and multilateral events, roundtables, banquets and other activities at major international policy and opinion exchange platforms such as the Paris Peace Forum, the World Economic Forum and the Munich Security Conference to promote dialogue and build consensus among international political, business and academic circles. CCG actively engages in "Track II Diplomacy" with the policy, think tank and business communities of various countries, conducts annual research and exchanges in multiple countries, promotes interaction between Chinese and foreign parties, and maintains communication channels with the policymaking parties of various countries.

Forum in commemoration of 75th anniversary of UN Charter
To commemorate the 75th Anniversary of the signing of the Charter of the United Nations (UN), on June 24, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) co-hosted an online forum titled “Enhancing multilateralism to collectively achieve the sustainable development goals” with the Academy of Contemporary China and the World Studies (ACCWS), the Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), the Dialogue of Civilizations Research Institute (DOC), the Valdai Discussion Club and the British East Asia Council.

[Video] World Bank discusses prospects for the global economy at CCG

This is the first time the World Bank has released and analyzed the report outside its headquarters in Washington DC.

CCG webinar: Global cooperation to overcome COVID-19
From June 9 to 10, the Global Think Tanks Online Forum on International Cooperation to Combat COVID-19 was held in Beijing. The event brought together more than 160 think tanks and media representatives from 48 countries and nine international organizations to exchange views on strengthening solidarity and cooperation and building a community of human health.

How does fashion industry seek opportunities in the pandemic?
On June 9, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), international fashion media, co-organized a webinar with the theme of “New opportunities for China’s fashion industry after the Two Sessions.” In this webinar, experts from relevant industries conducted in-depth discussions on international fashion brands’ development in China, supply chain reconstruction and other topics with the analysis of Report on the Work of the Government. The impact of COVID-19 on global talent mobility
On June 5, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Carleton University co-hosted the first virtual expert discussion on “What are the impacts of COVID-19 on global talent mobility?”, featuring experts from leading think tanks, academic institutions, international organizations and the business community. These experts shared their insights and gave recommendations on how to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19 on talent mobility.

CCG holds webinar to discuss the role of Chinese and American enterprises in the pandemic
On May 19, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and AmCham Shanghai held a webinar titled “Joining Forces on the COVID-19 battle: Practices and Innovations of Chinese and American Business Circles.” The webinar featured domestic and international scholars, CCG experts, and representatives of AmCham Shanghai. To encourage communication and cooperation between Chinese and American enterprises, the webinar discussed emergency response mechanisms among enterprises under the pandemic, mutual aid platforms to share international resources, and innovative practices for sustainable development.

CCG hosts webinar on food security during the COVID-19 pandemic
On May 18, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) co-hosted a webinar titled “A Looming Food Crisis on Top of the Coronavirus Crisis: Roots, Solutions, and International Cooperation.” The event featured dialogue among senior representatives from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the International Labor Organization (ILO), and American non-governmental organizations over key issues concerning the current situation, dilemmas and proposals for global cooperation in dealing with the emerging threats to global food security caused by COVID-19.
