Text: CCG MSC Event on China U.S. EU Cooperation
The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) convened a side event titled “China, Europe, and the United States: Climate Cooperation in an Era of Great Power Politics” at the60th Munich Security Conference 2024. This event, held on Saturday, February 17, brought together over 30 high-level participants to discuss the critical role of international collaboration among major powers – particularly China, the EU, and the U.S. – in addressing climate change.

World Bank Chief Economist Discusses Economic Development at CCG
On January 17, 2024, Aaditya Mattoo, Chief Economist for the East Asia and Pacific region at the World Bank, visited the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) to discuss the origins, impacts and solutions of the new trade protectionism with CCG Vice President Mike Liu. The discussion also explored how governments can better respond to the current economic situation.

Managing Director for China of Eurasia Group visits CCG
On January 11, 2024, CCG welcomed Rick Waters, Managing Director of Eurasia Group’s China practice. Mr. Waters has a 27-year career in the U.S. State Department, where he most recently oversaw the creation of the Office of China Coordination, informally known as the China House, and served as the first China Coordinator and deputy assistant secretary of state for China and Taiwan. Waters was accompanied by Mingda Qiu, a Eurasia Group analyst.
