Attending the 15th CCG VIP Luncheon: Focusing on Global Resilience and Cooperation

On July 24, CCG successfully hosted the 15th edition of CCG VIP Luncheon in Beijing, under the theme “Bolstering Trade and Investment to Build Resilient Industrial and Supply Chains Together.” The event brought together over 50 prominent guests from the political, business, academic, and media sectors, including ambassadors from nine countries, senior diplomats from thirteen nations, heads of international organizations in China, and representatives of multinational corporations.

The event was moderated by Dr. Henry Huiyao Wang, Founder and President of CCG and former Counselor to the State Council. As a distinguished guest, Ravi Agrawal noted during the interactive session that the benefits of globalization are increasingly challenged by social inequality, populism, and geopolitical conflicts. He emphasized that the international community should enhance support for green energy, technology sharing, and capacity building in developing countries to rebuild global economic resilience and trust.

The “CCG VIP Luncheon” series is an initiative launched and hosted by CCG, aimed at creating a new high-level platform for international exchange in Beijing in the post-pandemic era. The event is designed to brief international guests—including foreign embassies in China, international organizations, multinational corporations, chambers of commerce, and academic experts—on China’s latest development policies, provide forward-looking insights into the country’s development prospects, and explore China’s cooperation with the world as well as key global issues.
