Track Two Diplomacy
CCG pays close attention to international relations, promotes China and globalization, actively engages in international exchange, and gives full play to its role as a "Track II diplomacy" think tank. Our think tank organizes sub-forums, bilateral and multilateral events, roundtables, banquets and other activities at major international policy and opinion exchange platforms such as the Paris Peace Forum, the World Economic Forum and the Munich Security Conference to promote dialogue and build consensus among international political, business and academic circles. CCG actively engages in "Track II Diplomacy" with the policy, think tank and business communities of various countries, conducts annual research and exchanges in multiple countries, promotes interaction between Chinese and foreign parties, and maintains communication channels with the policymaking parties of various countries.

CCG Co-organizes the 8th World Chinese Economic Summit
The 8th World Chinese Economic Summit was held on Nov. 16 to 17 in Malacca, Malaysia. It is created by the Asian Strategy & Leadership Institute in 2009 to enhance connectivity and business linkages between China and Southeast Asia and China and Europe in line with the Chinese leadership’s “One Belt, One Road” initiatives. CCG Co-organized the Summit and delivered a keynote presentation to the audience.

CCG visits US think tanks to boost bilateral understanding
On May 1st, the CCG expert delegation visited the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), the well-renowned US think tank. CCG representatives held in-depth discussions with a number of CSIS senior researchers and US Department of Energy officials on a wide variety of issues. Topics covered include the future and challenges of Sino-US relations, Sino-US energy cooperation, multilateral trade mechanisms, and future academic cooperation.

CCG Visits UN to explore the sustainable development
On May 6th and 7th, the CCG expert delegation visited four UN agencies at the UN Headquarters in New York City, including the Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the UN Secretariat, the NGO/DPI Executive Committee and the UN Office for South-South Cooperation.

Director of CCG gave a talk at IOM Conference in Geneva
Dr. Wang Huiyao, Director General of Center of China and Globalization was invited to participate as a speaker in a workshop on “South-South migration: partnering strategically for development”, organized by the International Organization for Migration in the framework of its International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) on 24 and 25 March 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy in America (XII) – The CCG team visited the Heritage Foundation, the conservative party’s most important think tank
Lastly, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) team arrived at its final stop, the famous think tank of the Trump administration – the Heritage Foundation. During the visit, CCG shared its views with Dr. Feulner on the relations between China and America, the cooperation of the two countries on infrastructure construction, China’s investment in America and the cultural exchange between the two countries.

Recently, the team of Center for China and Globalization (CCG) visited the think tank of the Democratic Party, Center for American Progress. During the visit, the team exchanged opinions with Andy Green, the Head of Economic Policy Research, and Brian Harding, the Head of Asia and Southeast Asia Study on issues such as China-U.S. relations, the two countries’ cooperation on infrastructure construction, the cooperation and development of think tanks, etc.
