AGTO launched at the Third Paris Peace Forum
At the Paris Peace Forum, the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations, an international non-governmental organization proposed by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), completed its soft launch with an expert discussion on November 13. As a new platform for knowledge-sharing and capacity-building and to facilitate international dialogue on global talent mobility, the AGTO addresses a significant gap in global governance and responds to challenges in global cooperation on talent flow, now further intensified by the global pandemic.

CCG Forum | Ambassadors’ Roundtable
From November 11-12, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held the 6th China and Globalization Forum in Beijing, China. Participants included leaders from business, academia and research, former senior policymakers, ambassadors to China, heads of international organizations, representatives of chambers of commerce, and noted scholars and entrepreneurs from China and abroad. Over the two-day event, they held in-depth discussions on the various challenges and opportunities for globalization in a period of unprecedented change.

CCG Exchange Meeting with 25 Ambassadors from Different Countries
As a leading Chinese global think tank, CCG is committed to research in the fields of globalization and international relations, and maintains close relations with embassies of various countries. At this critical stage of the world’s economic and social recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic, CCG President Dr. Wang Huiyao communicated face-to-face with the ambassadors of 25 countries to China, reflecting the role of think tanks in Track II Diplomacy. This event not only strengthened understanding and communication between China and many other countries, but also a great opportunity to hear honourable ambassadors unique views and suggestions first hand.

Re-Launching Urban Talent Attraction and Retention
On September 18th, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations (AGTO) and the Global Mobility of Talent Research Team of Carleton University held their second joint virtual expert discussion on global talent mobility. This time the discussion focused on some of the leading talent magnets in Eurasia and the question of how to relaunch and enhance their urban talent attraction and retention post- COVID 19.
