CCG celebrates 10th anniversary, looks forward to carrying on its mission in the coming decades
CCG was created in 2008 with an aim to promote China’s role in the globalization. 10 years later, on the 40th anniversary of the reform and opening-up policy, CCG celebrates its 10th birthday with a strong drive to contribute more to think tank innovation and China’s globalization. On June 30, 2018, over 100 Chinese and international government officials, business leaders, and scholars, as well as foreign diplomats, gathered in Beijing at CCG’s anniversary reception to review its achievements in the past decade and discuss how to build a brighter future.

New bluebook captures key trends in global migration
June 9 saw the release of a new book that maps out shifting patterns of global migration and policy solutions to address these trends. The 2018 Report on China’s International Migration was co-authored by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and Institute of Development Studies at the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), with CCG President Wang Huiyao and CCG Secretary-General Miao Lu as chief editors.

2017 “Global Go To Think Tank Index” Report Released; CCG Ranked among World’s Top 100 Think Tanks
On Jan. 30, 2018, the 2017 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report (GGTTI), the most internationally influential think tank ranking system by the Think Tank and Civil Societies Program (TTCSP) at the University of Pennsylvania, was launched in turn by more than 170 institutions in over 100 cities around the world. A great number of prestigious scholars and politicians including the heads of the Brookings Institute, Heritage Foundation, and the other 60 think tanks as well as former Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, attended the launching ceremony in Washington, D.C. and New York. The event in China was held in the Penn Wharton China Center.

It has been increasingly recognized that talent is kind of strategic resource to achieve national rejuvenation and improve international competitiveness. Chinese Version of Global Value Chain Development Report 2017 Released at CCG
The Center for China and Globalization held a releasing ceremony for an influential annual report on global value chain development in Chinese version, where former Minister of Commerce Chen Deming and other leading experts provided their insight about the role of global value chain development in the world economic growth.
