  • Book Launch | China Through European Eyes by Kerry Brown

    On Wednesday April 13th, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a launch event featuring the release of China Through European Eyes: 800 Years of Cultural and Intellectual Encounter. The book has been jointly released by CCG and its publisher World Scientific Publishing Singapore. We invited the author of this book, Kerry Brown, Professor of Chinese Studies and Director of the Lau China Institution at King’s College, Qiao Weibing, President and Editor-in-Chief of the China Translation & Publishing House, Angela Lixi Dong, Assistant Director of World Scientific Publishing Singapore and Wang Huiyao, CCG President to examine the book and discussed relevant topics both historical and current.

  • Closed-door seminar with over 40 countries’ military attachés discusses sci-tech development and security of the global digital economy

    The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a closed-door seminar focusing on developments in global science and technology and security issues in the digital. During the event, CCG Senior Research Fellow Andy Mok delivered a speech and led a discussion with over 40 military attachés in China on important topics including the “black swan” and “gray rhino” incidents as well as the digital economy and cyber security. CCG vice-presidents Victor Gao and David Blair, along with CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao, also participated in the discussion.

  • De-escalating the Russia-Ukraine Conflict

    Beijing, March 29, 2022, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a webinar titled “De-escalating the Russia-Ukraine Conflict”, which featuring insights on how to resolve the crisis in Ukraine from three regional perspectives. Guest speakers included Eleonora Tafuro Ambrosetti, Research Fellow at the Caucasus and Central Asia Centre at the Italian Institute for International Political Studies (ISPI); Jean-Christopher Bas, Founder and CEO of Connecters for Peace; Temur Umarov, Fellow at the Carnegie Moscow Center; WANG Huiyao, President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG); and Fabian Zuleeg, CEO of the European Policy Center (EPC).
