CCG at “EU-China Think Tank Exchanges” Seminar in Hangzhou

From November 5 to 7, 2025, “EU-China Think Tank Exchanges,” a European Unionproject, held a new round of offline seminar in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Henry Huiyao Wang, Founder and President of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), delivered closing remarks. Zichen Wang, CCG Research Fellow and Director for International Communications, spoke the event.

On the morning of Friday, November 7, during the closing session,Henry Huiyao Wang, Feng Zhongping, Director-General of the Institute of European Studies at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Fabian Zuleeg, CEO and Chief Economist of the European Policy Centre (EPC), and Elvire Fabry, Senior Research Fellow at the Institut Jacques Delors, delivered concluding remarks. The session was moderated by Professor Yu Xunda, Director of the Department of Political Science at the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University.

On the morning of November 6, during the session on China-EU trade relations,Zichen Wang, Jiang Feng, Chairman of the Shanghai Institute for Global Governance and Area Studies at Shanghai International Studies University, Elvire Fabry, and Yan Shaohua, Associate Professor and Deputy Director of the Center for China-Europe Relations at the Institute of International Studies, Fudan Universit, spoke. Ivano di Carlo, Senior Policy Analyst at the EPC, moderated the session.

The “EU-China Think Tank Exchanges” project is funded by the European Union and is led by theEuropean Policy Centre in Brussels. As a core Chinese member of the project, CCG has led and organized several offline seminars in Beijing and Tonglu, Zhejiang Province, and has also sent representatives to Europe for meetings held there, contributing significantly to exchanges between Chinese and European think tanks and research institutions.
This seminar was hosted in Hangzhou by theSchool of Public Affairs of Zhejiang University and chaired by Professor Shen Wei, Qiu Shi Chair Professor of the School. On the Chinese side, scholars and experts from the China Institute of International Studies, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, and Zhejiang University also spoke at the event.
