CCG, German and French embassies co-host a seminar, discussing AI governance from European and Chinese Perspectives

On June 3, 2024, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), in collaboration with the German and French Embassies in Beijing, hosted a seminar at its Beijing headquarters titled “European and Chinese Perspectives on AI Governance.”

The event featured keynote speeches by Patricia Flor, German Ambassador to China; Bertrand Lortholary, French Ambassador to China; and Gao Xiang, Director-General of the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, China’s Ministry of Science and Technology.

CCG invited H.E. MA Jianchun, CCG Nonresident Senior Fellow and Former Chinese Ambassador to Gambia and Director-General of MOFCOM Department of Foreign Affairs; Rengang Huang, CCG Senior Fellow and Former Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Australia and Permanent Mission of China to WTO; LIU Hongchuan, CCG Council Member and Executive partner of AnJie Broad Law Firm; Representatives from over 100 organizations including leading technology companies, as well as institutions such as the China-EU Chamber of Commerce and the China-Germany Chamber of Commerce, attended the event.
