CCG advocates the development of talent mobility. Committed to study of the globalization of talent, CCG conducts major research projects, organizes events, publishes books and research reports in the fields of international talent, international migration, overseas Chinese, and the situation of talent studying abroad and returning to China.
Impact on Policymaking Based on solid empirical research results, CCG proposes a series of policy recommendations to improve China's talent development and immigration system, and plays an active role in promoting major policies, such as the establishment of the National Immigration Administration.
CCG has published a series of Blue Books such as the Blue Book of Global Talent: Annual Report on the Development of Chinese Students Studying Abroad, Blue Book of Global Talent: Annual Report on Chinese International Migration, Blue Book of Regional Talent: Report on China’s Regional International Talent Competitiveness, and the IOM World Migration Report, as well as a series of English books with Springer, including China’s Domestic and International Migration Development, filling the gap in the field of international talent research in China.
CCG has established brand forums such as the China Talent 50 Forum and the Global Education 50 People Forum, and has hosted the China Overseas Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum for many years.
CCG's initiative of establishing the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations is supported by relevant national ministries and the Beijing municipal government. CCG’s proposal was selected to participate in the first Paris Peace Forum and CCG held an event on the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations titled “Brain Drain: Making Better Use of the World’s Talent” at the second Paris Peace Forum.

The U.S. Youth Delegation Visits CCG
On July 17, a delegation of nearly 30 U.S. students from prestigious high schools and universities visit the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) as their first stop in China. They have a dialogue with Chinese experts and CCG's young researchers and interns on sustainable development and urban planning. These students are invited by the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF) and mainly from Sidwell Friends School and Universities like Princeton University.

CCG holds a seminar on Chinese Returnees Studies and International People-to-People Exchanges
On December 28th, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Alliance of Global Talent Organizations (AGTO) jointly organized a seminar titled Chinese Returnees Studies and International People-to-People Exchanges. Prof. Wang Huiyao, President of CCG and Secretary-General of AGTO, Prof. David Zweig, Vice Director of CCG and Director of AGTO Research Department, and Prof. Miao Lu, Secretary-General of CCG and Deputy Secretary-General of AGTO discussed topics such as the latest research on Chinese returnees, the current state and trends of Chinese returnees, and Sino-US talent exchange and cooperation during the seminar.

CCG Releases Talent, Innovation and Industry Chain Resilience Report 2023 at the Import Expo
On November 6, 2023, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) released the Talent, Innovation and Industry Chain Resilience Report 2023 (hereafter Report 2023)at the sub-forum on "Enhancing the Resilience of the Global Industry Chain Supply Chain" of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) and Hongqiao International Economic Forum (HIEF). The report was drafted and compiled by CCG, a think tank partner of Hongqiao International Economic Forum of the Import and Export Fair.

GYLD 2023 Annual Forum successfully held
On August 12th, 2023, International Youth Day, the “Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD)” Annual Forum was held in Beijing. With the theme of "Global Development and the Power of Youth," the forum gathered over 150 participants, including international young professionals, experts, scholars, embassy representatives, international organization delegates, business leaders, and media professionals from nearly 30 countries and regions. During the event, attendees engaged in discussions and shared insights on topics such as cross-cultural communication, climate change and urban sustainability, with an effort to exchange ideas and contribute to global development.
