Global governance, international organizations, regional cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) are key subjects of CCG's globalization research. As China's first think tank named and dedicated to globalization, CCG founded the China and Globalization Forum and contributes to international discussions related to globalization. It has organized seminars under themes such as WTO reform, multilateral governance, and the BRI. CCG was the first body to hold a BRI-themed event at the Munich Security Conference, a world-leading conference in the field of international security and governance.
Based on years of research in the field of globalization, CCG has published numerous research reports and books, including Win-Win International Cooperation and Path to Achievement of the Belt and Road, Globalization and Anti-Globalization and What’s Next for Globalization? Great Changes and China’s Proposed Approaches. The Handbook on China and Globalization published by Edward Elgar Publishing is one of the few books published in English by a Chinese think tank with an authoritative international academic publisher. Two of the CCG's initiatives were selected for inclusion in the first Paris Peace Forum, pioneering a new model for Chinese think tanks to fully participate in global governance and international cooperation. In addition, CCG has long-term cooperation with the WTO, UN, OECD, World Bank, IMF and many other international organizations, international think tanks and related institutions.

G20 Summit Encouraging, CCG Continues to promote further Sino-US ties
The world now looks to the meeting of President Xi and President Trump at the upcoming G20 Summit in Buenos Aires on November 30, 2018 as the ongoing trade disputes rumble on in the background. The G20 summit will not only provide an opportunity for the leaders of the world’s two largest economies to meet, but also will set the direction for the continuing trade tensions and have a profound effect on the future path of globalization and the world economy. CCG, as China’s leading non-government think tank on globalization, has worked consistently on US-China cooperation, and eagerly expects an upbeat results of this crucial meeting.At a time beset by ever increasing trade tensions, CCG continues to conduct large amounts research on US-China trade relations, putting significant effort into promoting Track II Diplomacy, strengthening communication between the two nations. CCG has invited and welcomed many US representatives to its headquarters, as well as twice sending delegations to US for comprehensive communication. At the same time, CCG regularly publishes reports on US-China relations. Strengthening Regional Cooperation for a Shared Future: China-India Cooperation in the Himalayan Region
On December 5, 2018, the first round of the Silk Spice Road Dialogues convened in Beijing at the UNDP China office and Center for China and Globalization（CCG） office with the UNDP, CCG and Himalayan Consensus as the co-hosts. Nicholas Rosellini，UNDP China Representative, Nirupama Rao, former Indian Foreign Secretary and former Indian Ambassador to China, US and Sri Lanka, CCG President Dr Wang Huiyao, Himalayan Consensus Institute founder Laurence Brauhm, Himalayan Consensus Institute Secretary-General Sujeev Shakya and over 20 experts in the fields of foreign policy and global governance to discuss and exchange views on China-India relations, bilateral cooperation and challenges in the Himalayas, and cooperation between the two countries in addressing climate change.
