Since its establishment, CCG has paid close attention to international relations and China's foreign affairs, tracking the development and changes of China's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and has been devoted to research on China-US-Europe cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, WTO reform, CPTPP and other multilateral topics, as well as providing recommendations for policymaking.
The annual flagship forums held by CCG for successive years have contributed to discussion on China-U.S. relations and China-EU cooperation, promoted international exchange, and given full play to the role of think tanks in track II diplomacy. CCG regularly conducts research and exchanges in multiple countries, and published a series of Chinese and English research reports on China-U.S. economy and trade relations.
The think tank hosts a series of roundtable seminars all year round, and invites think tank experts and scholars, political leaders, business elites and diplomats from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Germany, Egypt and other countries to discuss and exchange views on international relations and multilateral cooperation.

CCG hosts premier of documentary on China-US relations
On Nov. 24, CCG co-hosted a premier of a documentary on the China-US relations, titled “Better Angel”, and a seminar to discuss the future of the bilateral relations, which brought together over 400 politicians, business leaders, academic experts and media professionals, including US Ambassador to China Terry Branstad.

The 2018 “Talent 50” Forum was held in Guangzhou on Nov. 21, where CCG President Wang Huiyao released the first report on the talent development in Guangdong – Hongkong – Macao Great Bay Area that includes a propose to build an international talent free port.

G20 Summit Encouraging, CCG Continues to promote further Sino-US ties
The world now looks to the meeting of President Xi and President Trump at the upcoming G20 Summit in Buenos Aires on November 30, 2018 as the ongoing trade disputes rumble on in the background. The G20 summit will not only provide an opportunity for the leaders of the world’s two largest economies to meet, but also will set the direction for the continuing trade tensions and have a profound effect on the future path of globalization and the world economy. CCG, as China’s leading non-government think tank on globalization, has worked consistently on US-China cooperation, and eagerly expects an upbeat results of this crucial meeting.At a time beset by ever increasing trade tensions, CCG continues to conduct large amounts research on US-China trade relations, putting significant effort into promoting Track II Diplomacy, strengthening communication between the two nations. CCG has invited and welcomed many US representatives to its headquarters, as well as twice sending delegations to US for comprehensive communication. At the same time, CCG regularly publishes reports on US-China relations. By providing insight into the demands of both sides, analyzing each player’s focuses and key issues, CCG aims to reduce the chance for misjudgments and enhance consensus through mutual understanding.

CCG releases its list of “40 Influential Returnees in 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up”
On December 22nd, 2018, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), China Global Talent Society and Service Alliance of Chinese Returnees released “40 influential Returnees in 40 years of Reform and Opening-up” at the 2018 China Overseas Talent Exchange Conference and the 20th Guangzhou Science and Technology Chinese Overseas Talent Exchange Conference, to recognize the 40 selected returnees and the incredible contributions they made throughout the last four decades of China’s reform and opening-up. This is the fourth consecutive year that CCG and China Global Talent Society jointly released the list in this area.

CCG releases 2018 Bluebook Report on Chinese Enterprise Globalization
On December 3, 2018, the Center for China and Globalization and the Development Research Institute of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics jointly released the 2018 Bluebook Report on Chinese Enterprise Globalization at CCG Beijing Headquarters, which is published by the Social Sciences Academic Press of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
