As a pioneer “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics,” CCG is dedicated to researching think tank theories and continuously innovating management practices, promoting the innovative development of Chinese think tanks, and promoting academic exchanges and management experience sharing between Chinese think tanks and academic experts and international top think tanks through multiple channels. Over the past ten years, CCG has been actively learning from cutting-edge ideas and management practices of international top think tanks, and has been exploring new ways to meet the needs of Chinese think tanks by sending visiting scholars, "going global" international exchange, organizing the annual China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum, and seminars for international top think tanks, publishing research works, and cooperating with international think tanks. CCG has developed into one of the leading non-governmental think tanks in China.

CCG holds the 6th China and Globalization Forum
From November 11-12, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held the 6th China and Globalization Forum in Beijing, China. Participants included leaders from business, academia and research, former senior policymakers, ambassadors to China, heads of international organizations, representatives of chambers of commerce, and noted scholars and entrepreneurs from China and abroad. Over the two-day event, they held in-depth discussions on the various challenges and opportunities for globalization in a period of unprecedented change.

60 Countries Diplomats Join in CCG Ambassadors Roundtable
The opening remarks were delivered by Wang Huiyao, president of CCG; H.E. Rahamtalla M. Osman, permanent representative of the African Union (AU) to China; and H.E. Martin Mpana, ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon, dean of African Ambassadors Group. Zhu Min, chairman of the National Institute of Financial Research at Tsinghua University and former deputy managing director of IMF, introduced the highlights of China’s 14th FYP. Ambassadors, counselors and embassy representatives of more than 60 countries discussed the prospects for multilateral economic cooperation, cross-border trade and free trade zones.

As a leading Chinese global think tank, CCG is committed to research in the fields of globalization and international relations, and maintains close relations with embassies of various countries. CCG Webinar | Rebooting the BRI amidst the pandemic
On August 26, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held a webinar on the theme “Rebooting the Belt and Road Initiative amidst the pandemic: Challenges, prospects, and innovations.” The event featured leading scholars and experts discussing topics such as the social and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the role of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area in facilitating the sustainable BRI investments in response to the pandemic. RSIS-MINDEF-CCG Webinar on “COVID-19 & its Impact on East Asia”
This year marks the 30th anniversary for Singapore-China relations. Although COVID-19 has disrupted physical exchanges and projects, Singapore's ties with China have emerged stronger this year. Instead of visits, engagements have taken the form of virtual meetings. In the spirit of strengthening engagement and support, RSIS co-hosted a Track 1.5 virtual workshop with the Singapore Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) on "COVID-19 and its Impact on East Asia" on 21 August 2020.
