The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy’ in America (III) – Exploring the cooperation opportunities for Chinese and American think tanks with Asia Society
On the afternoon of Sep 29, CCG visited the headquarter of Asia Society in New York and exchanged opinions on issues such as the development of think tanks in both countries and the two parties’ future cooperation and regional governance. Josette Sheeran, the President and CEO of Asia Society, Debra Eisenman, the Executive Director of Asia Society Policy Institute, Jackson Edwin, the Director of Asia Development, Jeff Wang, the Program Director of China Learning Initiatives of Asia Society, Minyoung Shin, the Senior Researcher of Asia Development as well as Patrick Ingle, the Special Assistant and Advisor of the Head of Asia Society Research Institute joined in the meeting.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy in America (X) – Cooperating with Migration Policy Institute in studying international migration and talents
At the beginning of October, the team from Center for China and Globalization (CCG) held a meeting with the Migration Policy Institute. The Migration Policy Institute is the pioneering think tank of migration study in America. The meeting was held at its headquarter in Washington D.C. During the meeting, the two sides expressed their views on the trends of global migration, the Trump administration on migration policy, the international flow of talents, as well as the two think tanks’ cooperation on the future study of migration. Through the visit, the CCG team enlarged their knowledge of American politics and American migration policy from the perspective of migration.

CCG organized a roundtable discussion on the government’s policy on overseas Chinese
Co-organized by Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and NCCA, a roundtable discussion on the government’s policy on overseas Chinese was held on Aug 31, 2017. Officials, scholars and experts from the Exit & Entry Administration of Minister of Public Security, the Department of Policy and Regulation of Overseas Chinese Affairs Office Of The State Council, Tsinghua University, and Huaqiao University gathered at the headquarter of CCG and offered their own insights into the latest government’s policy on overseas Chinese.

Director of CCG gave a talk at IOM Conference in Geneva
Dr. Wang Huiyao, Director General of Center of China and Globalization was invited to participate as a speaker in a workshop on “South-South migration: partnering strategically for development”, organized by the International Organization for Migration in the framework of its International Dialogue on Migration (IDM) on 24 and 25 March 2014 in Geneva, Switzerland.

CCG Honors Best Returned Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs at China’s Biggest Talent Exchange Event
The Center for China and Globalization （CCG） hosts a seminar on innovation and entrepreneurship of returned Chinese at the 2016 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 18th Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology on Dec. 22, 2016. At the seminar, CCG and China Union of Service Organizations for Returned Overseas Students announce the most 50 outstanding overseas Chinese entrepreneurs and their business with greatest potential.
