Zamir Ahmed Awan: ‘Trilateral diplomacy’ prevails at China-Pak-Afg meeting
At a critical moment when the US canceled the “peace process” in Afghanistan, a trilateral meeting was held between Afghanistan, China and Pakistan, on Sept 7 in Islamabad. It is the third round of trilateral talks focusing on regional peace, cooperation, stability and friendship between the three countries, all of which share borders.

Wang Huiyao: RCEP injects new impetus for global trade
The current proliferation of trade disputes is a serious challenge to globalization and the international trade order. The Sino-US trade war apart, trade tensions between Japan and the Republic of Korea are also escalating. Japan's recent move to remove the ROK from its fast-track trade "white list" has sparked further tit-for-tat responses, disrupting supply chains and adding to the clouds hanging over the global economy.

He Yafei: World Needs to Uphold and Rebuild Multilateralism
During a recent personal discussion about multilateralism and in response to witnessing the ongoing chaos worldwide, former Slovenian President Danilo Türk stated to me that the world today is going “from hopeful to possible success.” From our conversation, we both came to the conclusion that although multilateralism is under attack and the global governance regime is porous, international collaboration can still be reborn and can ultimately succeed with support from such emerging countries as China and others.

Wang Huiyao: New green consensus can revive multilateral mindset
In recent years, images of trash-strewn seas and beaches have led to growing calls to tackle marine plastic waste. At the G20 Summit in June in Osaka, Japan, leaders moved to start addressing the issue with a major agreement to eliminate pollution by marine plastic litter by 2050.
