Where once 10-hour power cuts due to the shortfall in production and demand of electricity were normal, there's hardly any power cuts now. The transportation sector has boosted as a network of motorways and highways across the length and breadth of the country.

By now, global value chains (GVC) in most countries have been affected by the disruption caused by COVID-19. Hard-hit countries such as the U.S., Italy and Germany have adopted major lockdown measures to avoid massive contagion. Countries in Africa and South and Southeast Asia have also closed public places to mitigate infections.

CCG new report calls to strengthen multi-level int’l cooperation
On April 5, 2020, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) released the English version of the report “Strensgthen multi-level international cooperation to fight the pandemic”. The report summarized China’s experience in dealing with the outbreak and provided suggestions on global cooperation to fight the virus and its economic fallout. It drew on ongoing research and analysis of the unfolding outbreak and recent seminars CCG has hosted featuring Chinese and foreign experts.
