On September 20th, during an evening banquet at the 9th China and Globalization Forum, Wu Hongbo, China’s Special Representative for European Affairs, likened labels like “partner”, “competitor”, and “systemic rival” imposed by EU on China to a traffic light showing green, yellow, and red simultaneously, leaving drivers uncertain of which path to take.
