The Delegation of International Students in China Visited CCG

On April 1, 2024, students from the International Master’s Program of the School of International Studies at Peking University and the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Language and Professional Training Program visited the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) to learn about the development of CCG and the “Global Young Leaders Dialogue (GYLD)” program initiated by CCG. The international students are from Germany, France, South Korea, the United States, Japan, Italy, Switzerland, and several other countries. Mike Liu, CCG Vice-president and Senior Research Fellow; Zheng Jinlian, CCG Vice-president, Head of Research, Senior Fellow; Wu Mengqi, CCG Research Fellow; Zhao Zhanjie, CCG Director of External Relations, Manager of GYLD; and Wahed Ahmadzai, Representative of GYLD, received visiting students.

They exchanged ideas on topics such as globalization development, studying abroad in China, and career development in China. It is worth mentioning that after watching the promotional video of the GYLD program, the students were particularly interested in the program and raised many questions and their own opinions on the exchange of Chinese and foreign youth. The students were also divided into several groups to conduct in-depth discussions on how to help foreign students study and work in China. They put forward many creative policy suggestions.

GYLD program has long been committed to building a platform for friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign youth and has previously hosted a delegation of young American politicians.
