As a pioneer “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics,” CCG is dedicated to researching think tank theories and continuously innovating management practices, promoting the innovative development of Chinese think tanks, and promoting academic exchanges and management experience sharing between Chinese think tanks and academic experts and international top think tanks through multiple channels. Over the past ten years, CCG has been actively learning from cutting-edge ideas and management practices of international top think tanks, and has been exploring new ways to meet the needs of Chinese think tanks by sending visiting scholars, "going global" international exchange, organizing the annual China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum, and seminars for international top think tanks, publishing research works, and cooperating with international think tanks. CCG has developed into one of the leading non-governmental think tanks in China.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy in America (V) – CCG paid a return visit to AEI, one of the most important think tanks of the Trump’s government
On May 18, 2017, a team from AEI was invited by CCG to visit China and the two groups co-organized a symposium around the economic and trade development of China and America. Seven resident scholars, senior researchers, and researchers from AEI expressed their opinions on the issues including Trump’s presidency, the two economies’ interdependence and interaction, the trade between China and America and the communication between the two countries after Mar-a-Lago summit’. They analyzed the current situation and the future development of China and America’s relations and predicted the opportunities and challenges for the two countries’ economy and trade. Through their efforts, the two countries strengthened their communications and deepened their mutual trust.

The CCG’s ‘track-II’ diplomacy in America (IV) – Visiting the Consulate- General of China in New York
On Sep 29, the team of CCG visited the Consulate-General of China in New York and held an in-depth conversation with the Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Consulate-General of China, Zhou Shanqing and the Monday Consular, Zhou Yi. The conversation covered issues including Chinese and American economic relations, investment policies, and development of Chinese nongovernmental think tanks.

On Sep 29, CCG organized a lunch meeting with regards ‘China-U.S. Relations: the Future of Win-win Cooperation’ in Manhattan, New York. Officials from Consulate-General of China, representatives of Chinese companies and relevant scholars were invited to the meeting and they shared their opinions on the investment of China and America, the two countries’ economic and trade relation and the Chinese companies’ development in America.
