Since its establishment, CCG has paid close attention to international relations and China's foreign affairs, tracking the development and changes of China's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and has been devoted to research on China-US-Europe cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, WTO reform, CPTPP and other multilateral topics, as well as providing recommendations for policymaking.
The annual flagship forums held by CCG for successive years have contributed to discussion on China-U.S. relations and China-EU cooperation, promoted international exchange, and given full play to the role of think tanks in track II diplomacy. CCG regularly conducts research and exchanges in multiple countries, and published a series of Chinese and English research reports on China-U.S. economy and trade relations.
The think tank hosts a series of roundtable seminars all year round, and invites think tank experts and scholars, political leaders, business elites and diplomats from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Germany, Egypt and other countries to discuss and exchange views on international relations and multilateral cooperation.

CCG and Carleton University co-host research workshop on global talent
On July 3, CCG and Carleton University jointly hosted an international research workshop entitled “Canada, Asia and Europe in the Global Competition for Talent” on the Carleton campus in Ottawa, Canada. The event saw over a great number of scholars and experts from North America, Asia and Europe gather together for in-depth discussion on the global competition for talent against the backdrop of increasing talent mobility and the rising of counter-globalization waves. Through this workshop, CCG and Carleton established a cooperative relationship, working together to construct a transcontinental research network for talent policy that can support the coordinated development of talent across various regions.

Strengthening Regional Cooperation for a Shared Future: China-India Cooperation in the Himalayan Region
On December 5, 2018, the first round of the Silk Spice Road Dialogues convened in Beijing at the UNDP China office and Center for China and Globalization(CCG) office with the UNDP, CCG and Himalayan Consensus as the co-hosts. Nicholas Rosellini,UNDP China Representative, Nirupama Rao, former Indian Foreign Secretary and former Indian Ambassador to China, US and Sri Lanka, CCG President Dr Wang Huiyao, Himalayan Consensus Institute founder Laurence Brauhm, Himalayan Consensus Institute Secretary-General Sujeev Shakya and over 20 experts in the fields of foreign policy and global governance to discuss and exchange views on China-India relations, bilateral cooperation and challenges in the Himalayas, and cooperation between the two countries in addressing climate change.
