CCG & TTCSP Co-host 5th China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum
On November 24, 2020, the fifth Annual China Think Tank Innovation Forum was held in Beijing, organized by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and co-hosted by Think Tanks and Civil Society Program (TTCSP) of the University of Pennsylvania. The forum aimed to discuss the latest changes in the world, address pressing issues for global think tanks, explore innovative models for the sustainable development of think tanks, and offer policy recommendations for China and the international community. More than 200 think tank experts participated in the forum through online and offline channels, and 2.6 million viewers from around the world watched the live broadcast of the forum.

CCG Leads Discussion about Innovation and Development of Chinese Think Tanks
On June 6, 2016, the Center for China and Globalization joined its domestic and international partners to hold the 2016 China Think Tank Innovation Summit to explore new models and development paths of Chinese think tanks in the new era. The scholars and experts at the conference agreed that Chinese think tanks need to employ more innovation in academic study, talent cultivation and institutional operations to play a more significant role in policymaking and democracy building.

Think tank forum calls for innovation to meet global challenges
The 4th Annual China Global Think Tank Forum welcomed think tankers, scholars and experts in this field from around the world to share their views and solutions to current challenges faced by global think tanks. Hosted at the Penn Wharton China Center in Beijing, on May 28, 2019, representatives from Chinese think tanks, academia and research organizations gathered to hold exchanges and discussions with experts. Over the past decade, Chinese think tanks have experienced unprecedented growth and development as policy-makers pay more attention to the constructive role they play in policy research and policy making.

2019 High-level Seminar on World-Leading Think Tanks
The 2019 High-level Seminar on World-Leading Think Tanks took place on May 29th in Beijing, convening experts from leading Chinese and international think tanks. Hosted by Center for China and Globalization (CCG), University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program (TTSCP) and the Penn Wharton China Center (PWCC), this seminar facilitated intellectual and experiential exchange and provided a platform to share observations on the innovative development of Chinese think tanks.

2nd China Global Think Tank Innovation Summit Calls for High-level Think Tank Cluster
More than 200 scholars and guests of 70 think tanks from 20 countries gathered in Qingdao, a coastal city of east China’s Shandong province, on June 22 to 24 for the 2ndChina Global Think Tank Innovation Summit.
