As a pioneer “new type of think tank with Chinese characteristics,” CCG is dedicated to researching think tank theories and continuously innovating management practices, promoting the innovative development of Chinese think tanks, and promoting academic exchanges and management experience sharing between Chinese think tanks and academic experts and international top think tanks through multiple channels. Over the past ten years, CCG has been actively learning from cutting-edge ideas and management practices of international top think tanks, and has been exploring new ways to meet the needs of Chinese think tanks by sending visiting scholars, "going global" international exchange, organizing the annual China Global Think Tank Innovation Forum, and seminars for international top think tanks, publishing research works, and cooperating with international think tanks. CCG has developed into one of the leading non-governmental think tanks in China.

CCG hosts ambassador roundtable on common prosperity and the Nordic Model
On June 7, 2023, CCG hosted a roundtable discussion with Nordic ambassadors in its Beijing headquarters, which focused on the topic of ‘Paths Toward Common Prosperity: The Nordic Model And Beyond’. The event focused on promoting bilateral communications between China and Nordic countries, focusing on social governance experience. The event was opened by CCG President Wang Huiyao.

On November 2nd, 2022, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) jointly released the Chinese version of the World Migration Report 2022 and held a seminar session. The Roundtable Forum and “Development and Prospect” Roundtable Forum are held on Dec. 17, 2016, as a joint effort of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Institute of Development Studies at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). Over 50 scholars, government officials and business executives are invited to the discussion about China’s talent development system reform, with a focus on the changes to talent introduction policies and talent cultivation strategy for China’s western region.

9th Forum on Overseas Chinese Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The 9th Forum on Chinese Overseas Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship was hosted by the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA), Chinese Overseas Educated Scholars Association and Council for China and Globalization (CCG). This annual forum proposes and advocates policies to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by overseas Chinese returnees. This year over 500 hundred high-ranking government officials, business executives, senior scholars, and overseas Chinese returnees attended the event.
