Since its establishment, CCG has paid close attention to international relations and China's foreign affairs, tracking the development and changes of China's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and has been devoted to research on China-US-Europe cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, WTO reform, CPTPP and other multilateral topics, as well as providing recommendations for policymaking.
The annual flagship forums held by CCG for successive years have contributed to discussion on China-U.S. relations and China-EU cooperation, promoted international exchange, and given full play to the role of think tanks in track II diplomacy. CCG regularly conducts research and exchanges in multiple countries, and published a series of Chinese and English research reports on China-U.S. economy and trade relations.
The think tank hosts a series of roundtable seminars all year round, and invites think tank experts and scholars, political leaders, business elites and diplomats from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Germany, Egypt and other countries to discuss and exchange views on international relations and multilateral cooperation.

CCG Co-hosts Annual “China Talent 50” Roundtable Forum to Discuss Further Talent Development System Reform
The Roundtable Forum and “Development and Prospect” Roundtable Forum are held on Dec. 17, 2016, as a joint effort of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Institute of Development Studies at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). Over 50 scholars, government officials and business executives are invited to the discussion about China’s talent development system reform, with a focus on the changes to talent introduction policies and talent cultivation strategy for China’s western region.

A hundreds scholars and experts in talent study, government officials, and business executives gathered at the Beijing International Hotel to attend the “China Talent 50” Roundtable Forum. The event, co-sponsored by the Center for China & Globalization and the Institute of Development Studies at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics, discussed how to address the opportunities and challenges of implementing the 13th Five-Year plan and accelerate the establishment of internationally competitive talent development system in China.

10th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum for Chinese Returnees
On August 16th, Beijing witnessed the opening of the 10th Innovation & Entrepreneurship Forum for Chinese Returnees, which was jointly put on by the Western Returned Scholar Association (WRSA), Chinese Overseas-Educated Scholars Association (COESA), and Center for China & Globalization (CCG). Organized around the theme of “Public Innovation & Entrepreneurship” for this year, the annual conference collects new methodologies and experiences of innovation and entrepreneurship offered by returnee scholars and examined major trends arising from this arena.
