Since its establishment, CCG has paid close attention to international relations and China's foreign affairs, tracking the development and changes of China's bilateral economic and trade relations with the United States, Canada, Europe, Asia, Africa, Latin America, Australia, the Middle East and other countries and regions, and has been devoted to research on China-US-Europe cooperation, the Belt and Road Initiative, WTO reform, CPTPP and other multilateral topics, as well as providing recommendations for policymaking.
The annual flagship forums held by CCG for successive years have contributed to discussion on China-U.S. relations and China-EU cooperation, promoted international exchange, and given full play to the role of think tanks in track II diplomacy. CCG regularly conducts research and exchanges in multiple countries, and published a series of Chinese and English research reports on China-U.S. economy and trade relations.
The think tank hosts a series of roundtable seminars all year round, and invites think tank experts and scholars, political leaders, business elites and diplomats from the United States, Canada, Britain, Australia, Japan, Germany, Egypt and other countries to discuss and exchange views on international relations and multilateral cooperation.

Many times, history shows that pandemics kill millions and disrupt economic activity and linkages on a global level. COVID-19 will not be the end of globalization or global governance, but, policymakers seem to develop a convenient case of amnesia about the role of globalization as a transmission belt for a whole variety of threats, such as, pandemics, drug trafficking, people smuggling, money laundering, and environmental degradation.April 03 , 2022

Globalizing China: The Influence, Strategies and Successes of Chinese Returnee Entrepreneurs
This book investigates an emerging phenomenon about returnee entrepreneurship. (Cumming, Sapienza, Siegel, & Wright, 2009), with a focus on Chinese returnee entrepreneurs. It deals with a broad range of issues associated with this phenomenon addressing for instance, the returnee development trajectory, entrepreneurial strategies and key success factors of this important type of entrepreneur. This is discussed in the context of systematic research findings. As the Vice Chairman of Western Returned Scholars Association and founding director of Centre for China and Globalization in Beijing, Dr. Wang Huiyao shares his insightful findings, reflective thoughts, and life experience with a wide range of audience who are interested in Chinese entrepreneurship. Given the important role that context plays in entrepreneurship (Zahra & Wright, 2011) and the rising power of China in the global economy, this book offers a special angle to understanding Chinese entrepreneurs and their influences on China and the rest of the world. Being the change agent with an increasingly important role in contemporary China, returnee entrepreneurs and their entrepreneurial actions ought to have a significant impact on China and the rest of the world.February 14 , 2014
