Global governance, international organizations, regional cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) are key subjects of CCG's globalization research. As China's first think tank named and dedicated to globalization, CCG founded the China and Globalization Forum and contributes to international discussions related to globalization. It has organized seminars under themes such as WTO reform, multilateral governance, and the BRI. CCG was the first body to hold a BRI-themed event at the Munich Security Conference, a world-leading conference in the field of international security and governance.
Based on years of research in the field of globalization, CCG has published numerous research reports and books, including Win-Win International Cooperation and Path to Achievement of the Belt and Road, Globalization and Anti-Globalization and What’s Next for Globalization? Great Changes and China’s Proposed Approaches. The Handbook on China and Globalization published by Edward Elgar Publishing is one of the few books published in English by a Chinese think tank with an authoritative international academic publisher. Two of the CCG's initiatives were selected for inclusion in the first Paris Peace Forum, pioneering a new model for Chinese think tanks to fully participate in global governance and international cooperation. In addition, CCG has long-term cooperation with the WTO, UN, OECD, World Bank, IMF and many other international organizations, international think tanks and related institutions.

Think tank forum calls for innovation to meet global challenges
The 4th Annual China Global Think Tank Forum welcomed think tankers, scholars and experts in this field from around the world to share their views and solutions to current challenges faced by global think tanks. Hosted at the Penn Wharton China Center in Beijing, on May 28, 2019, representatives from Chinese think tanks, academia and research organizations gathered to hold exchanges and discussions with experts. Over the past decade, Chinese think tanks have experienced unprecedented growth and development as policy-makers pay more attention to the constructive role they play in policy research and policy making.

Fourth China Outbound Forum Concluded in Success
Co-organized by the Center for China and Globalization (CCG), China Association of International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC) of the Ministry of Commerce and the Sanya government, the 4th China Outbound Forum was successfully held in Sanya, Hainan, on Nov 17-18, 2017. The forum had 13 sessions focused on economic globalization and Chinese enterprises globalization. Over 400 people from the business, politics and academic community in China and around the world attended the forum and over 80 guests shared their insights with the audience. The main theme for the forum this year is pushing forward Chinese enterprises globalization and developing a more open economy in China.

CCG Co-hosts Annual “China Talent 50” Roundtable Forum to Discuss Further Talent Development System Reform
The Roundtable Forum and “Development and Prospect” Roundtable Forum are held on Dec. 17, 2016, as a joint effort of the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) and the Institute of Development Studies at the Southwest University of Finance and Economics (SUFE). Over 50 scholars, government officials and business executives are invited to the discussion about China’s talent development system reform, with a focus on the changes to talent introduction policies and talent cultivation strategy for China’s western region.

9th Forum on Overseas Chinese Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship
The 9th Forum on Chinese Overseas Returnees Innovation and Entrepreneurship was hosted by the Western Returned Scholars Association (WRSA), Chinese Overseas Educated Scholars Association and Council for China and Globalization (CCG). This annual forum proposes and advocates policies to promote innovation and entrepreneurship by overseas Chinese returnees. This year over 500 hundred high-ranking government officials, business executives, senior scholars, and overseas Chinese returnees attended the event.

The 3rd Conference of China Outbound Investment Forum, a joint effort by the Center for China and Globalization(CCG), China Association for International Economic Cooperation (CAFIEC), Smadja& Smadja Strategic Consulting and Sanya People's Government, was held on Dec. 2 and 3, 2016 in Sanya, bringing together over 400 government officials, business leaders, scholars and media reporters to explore the new trend and engines for China's overseas investment.
