Howard H. Li is the Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Waitex Group of Companies which was founded in 1981. Waitex has prospered into a hugely successful global conglomerate over 33 years with stronghold in global supply chain services, logistics, warehousing, factoring financial service, real estate investment and development, import & export trading and retail.
The Waitex Headquarters is located in the heart of New York City. Waitex operates 10 modern distribution centers totaling nearly 3 million square feet with over 1000 employees in the United States. Waitex processes over US $5 billion worth of consumer goods for five hundred companies annually. Waitex is a founding partner of apparel import and wholesale company that represents world-renowned licenses including NBA, NBA Youth, NFL, NHL, MLB, Champion (special sizes Big & Tall) and UMBRO.
In China, Waitex’s affiliated company is a founding partner of Florentia Village Luxury Outlet Mall and Creativo Lifestyle Mall. With a total investment and development pipeline of 8 shopping malls in key major Chinese cities, the annual sales are estimated to reach 10 billion RMB when malls are completed and operating by 2017.
Waitex affiliated company also invested and developed V1 Auto World, which is currently under construction and estimated to open in 2016.
Waitex has been ranked as one of the 200 largest privately held companies in the greater New York Area by Crain’s business Magazine.
Mr. Li was selected by Forbes (Asia) as one of the 25 most influential Chinese Americans in U.S Business.
In 2006, U.S President George W. Bush named Mr. Li as Commissioner of the White House and President Advisory Commission on Asian American and Pacific Islanders. Mr. Li has formally served as advisory council member of the New York State Retirement Systems and was a Director of United Way of New York City.
