Gao Xiqing
Former Vice Chairman and President of the China Investment Corporation

Gao Xiqing, Professor at School of Law, Tsinghua University;
Former Deputy Party Secretary of China Investment Corporation (CIC). In 1986, he received a doctorate in law from Duke University in the United States (J.D.) and subsequently worked as a lawyer on Wall Street. After the return of China Securities Market Design and Research Center, he committed to the establishment of China’s securities market. He was concurrently the chief lawyer and director of the China Securities Regulatory Commission. He was involved in the design and establishment of China’s securities market as one of the main sponsors. He was concurrently the deputy director and chief executive officer of Bank of China and Hong Kong and Macao.
