Ambassadors from 11 Countries Visit CCG Beijing Academy
June 13 , 2025On June 13, 2025, ambassadors to China from 11 countries — Belgium, Croatia, Denmark, the European Union, Latvia, Luxembourg, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, and Switzerland — visited the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) Beijing Academy for a tour and exchange activities.
During the visit, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and Secretary-General Mabel Lu Miao provided a detailed introduction to CCG’s development, research achievements, and extensive history of engagement with foreign diplomats in China, accompanied by rich visual and archival materials. They also guided the ambassadors on a tour of the CCG Beijing Academy’s library and international exchange exhibits.
Most ambassadors remarked that the CCG Beijing Academy’s integration of Chinese and Western cultural elements was deeply impressive, and they highly praised CCG’s longstanding commitment to promoting international dialogue and cooperation.
CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and Secretary-General Mabel Lu Miao expressed their hope that this visit would serve as a new starting point to further strengthen ties with foreign embassies in China and to foster more productive dialogue and collaboration on shared global concerns, including global governance, multilateral cooperation, green development, and people-to-people exchanges.
The visiting delegation included H.E. Bruno Angelet, Ambassador of Belgium to China; H.E. Dario Mihelin, Ambassador of Croatia to China; H.E. Michael Starbæk Christensen, Ambassador of Denmark to China; H.E. Jorge Toledo, Ambassador of European Union to China; H.E. Karlis Eihenbaums, Ambassador of Latvia to China; H.E. Rol Reiland, Ambassador of Luxembourg to China; H.E. Vebjoern Dysvik, Ambassador of Norway to China; H.E. Paulo Jorge Nascimento, Ambassador of Portugal to China; H.E. Peter Tan Hai Chuan, Ambassador of Singapore to China; H.E. Bostjan Malovrh, Ambassador of Slovenia to China; and H.E. Juerg Stephan Burri, Ambassador of Switzerland to China.
The CCG Beijing Academy serves as the repository of CCG’s publications and a dedicated space for showcasing its research achievements. It presents CCG’s intellectual contributions and academic work in key areas such as global governance, international relations, global talent, corporate globalization, and think tank studies. The Academy also highlights CCG’s rich history of research and international engagement. As a comprehensive platform created by CCG for academic exchange, intellectual dialogue, and cross-cultural interaction, the Beijing Academy is committed to fostering mutual understanding and promoting collaboration across cultures.
The Center for China and Globalization (CCG) is a non-governmental think tank based in Beijing, founded by Dr. Henry Huiyao WANG and Dr. Mable Lu MIAO in 2008. CCG has been granted the official special consultative status by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) as a non-governmental organization. In the 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index by the University of Pennsylvania Think Tank and Civil Society Program (TTCSP), CCG ranked 64th of the top think tanks worldwide and among the top 50 “best independent think tanks.” CCG now has more than ten branches and overseas representatives and over 100 full-time researchers and staff engaged in research on globalization, global governance, international economy and trade, international relations and global migration.
