JIANG Yaoping
Former Vice Minister of Commerce

Jiang Yaoping, male, ethnic Han, is a native of Wujin, Jiangsu Province. He was born in September 1952 and joined the CPC in July 1974. Graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages of Guangxi University for Nationalities, Jiang received a master’s degree in Information Management from BI Norwegian School of Management and a doctor’s degree in Management Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology. He is a professorate senior engineer. Jiang served successively as Deputy Director and Director of the Telecommunications Bureau of Nanning, Deputy Director and Director of Posts and Telecommunications Administration of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Director of the Office of the Computer Networks and Information Security Management of the Information Work Leading Group and Director General of the Department of Policies, Laws and Regulations of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In April, 2004, Jiang was appointed Vice Minister and member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

In March 2008, Jiang was appointed Vice Minister and member of the CPC Leadership Group of the Ministry of Commerce.
