Accompanied by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron is anticipated to arrive in Beijing on April 5, 2023. Macron’s China trip is one of many top-level engagements between Europe and China in recent months. At a time when global governance is experiencing an unprecedented crisis, France has remained a staunch supporter of multilateralism. The Paris Peace Forum was created in 2018, with support from President Macron and the European Union, as a platform that completes the existing world agenda of seeking multilateral solutions to global governance problems. This program features the Founder and Director-General of Paris Peace Forum Dr. Justin Vaïsse and his insight into the role of Paris Peace Forum in advancing peace and cooperation in times of uncertainty.
