The 8th China Inbound-Outbound Forum

The China Inbound-Outbound Forum was first held in 2014 and has been held annually for seven consecutive years. It is committed to creating a new type of international economic platform that leverages China’s position on the world stage and its guiding philosophy of “going global.” The Forum is currently the largest and most influential of its kind and is recognized as providing a high-level, professional and international platform where business leaders that have “gone global”, government officials, experts, scholars and foreign ambassadors can discuss current global trends.

The 8th China Inbound-Outbound Forum, held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing, focused issues surrounding new trends at the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) and showcased the progress of Beijing’s two new development zones. The Forum brought together officials from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Two Zones Office, diplomatic envoys and senior Chinese officials, policy experts from relevant ministries, and representatives from top multinational companies.

Roundtable discussions and dialogues were held on topics ranging from new trends in global services, Beijing’s ongoing development of the “two zones,” potential green development, corporate sustainable development, and applications and prospects for digital technologies in fields such as health care and entertainment. The forum discussed China’s new direction in opening and globalization, new opportunities for Chinese companies, multinational cooperation, and helping to take Beijing’s policy of opening to a new level.
