CCG holds a series of meetings with foreign embassies to China

Over the years, CCG has established an efficient system of communication and dialogue to interact with embassies, international organizations, global think tanks, and other institutions. CCG is committed to promoting exchange, cooperation, understanding, and mutual trust between China and the world, and has become a significant international platform for discussions on policy and other issues.  Recently, CCG conducted held an event with ambassadors and senior officials from foreign embassies to China including South Africa, Germany, Belgium, France, Portugal, India, Spain and Israel.

 

On August 4, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao met with the South African envoy to China, Mr. Mahdi Basadien at the CCG office. During the meeting, they deeply exchanged views on the development of the Global South, the cooperation between the two countries, and other topics of common concern. South Africa is the only African member of BRICs and G20 countries.

On August 9, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao met with the new German ambassador to China, H.E. Patricia Flor for a luncheon at the ambassador’s official residence. During the meeting, they had in-depth exchanges on people-to-people exchanges between the two countries, post-pandemic international cooperationand other topics. This was the first working luncheon since H.E. Ambassador Patricia Flor took office.

On August 11, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang, CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao, and CCG Vice President Victor Gao were invited to meet with the Belgian Ambassador to China, H.E. Dr. Jan Hoogmartens, and had lunch together. They discussed cooperation between the two countries, the prospects and challenges of China EU relations, and international issues of common concern. The Belgian Embassy in China’s Deputy Head of Mission Ms. Sophie Hottat and Minister Counsellor Mr. Guillaume Goessens were also in attendance.

On August 11, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang, CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao, and CCG Vice President Victor Gao were invited to attend a banquet hosted by the French ambassador to China Monsieur Laurent Bili at his official residence, which was held as a farewell for the outgoing Portuguese ambassador to China José Augusto Duarte who is taking a post in Paris. The ambassadors of the African Union, Israel, Japan, Mozambique, Spain, the UN, and the United States, as well as media representatives also attended the banquet.

 

On August 12, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao were invited to meet with the Indian Ambassador to China Pradeep Kumar Rawat. They had lunch at the ambassador’s official residence and conducted in-depth exchanges on bilateral relations, people-to-people exchanges, and other topics of common concern. The Indian Embassy’s First Secretary Vikram Krishnamoorthy and Second Secretary Athul Janardhanan also attended the meeting.

On August 12, 2022, the first Consul General of Spain in Chengdu, Eduardo López Busquets visited CGG, and met with CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang, Deputy Secretary-General Tang Beijie, and CCG’s Director of Global Migration Research Li Qing. They held extensive discussions on cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Spain.

On August 15, 2022, CCG President Henry Huiyao Wang and CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao were invited to meet with the Ambassador of Israel to China Irit Ben-Abba Vitale, and Counselor and Head of the Political Department Maizy Eliash Filkovsky. They had lunch together during which they discussed bilateral relations and other topics.
