Closed-door seminar with over 40 countries’ military attachés discusses sci-tech development and security of the global digital economy

Recently, the Center for China and Globalization (CCG) hosted a closed-door seminar focusing on developments in global science and technology and security issues in the digital. During the event, CCG Senior Research Fellow Andy Mok delivered a speech and led a discussion with over 40 military attachés in China on important topics including the “black swan” and “gray rhino” incidents as well as the digital economy and cyber security. CCG vice-presidents Victor Gao and David Blair, along with CCG Secretary-General Mabel Miao, also participated in the discussion.

 

Wang Huiyao, President of CCG, delivered an opening speech that outlined CCG’s efforts and achievements in recent years to facilitate global cooperation and development. After a review of exchanges with global think tanks and China’s role in promoting globalization, he has also expressed hope for further communication and exchange with diplomatic envoys in China.

As one of the world’s top 100 non-governmental think tanks, CCG is committed to researching topics on globalization, global governance, sustainable development, and promoting multilateral cooperation. CCG has established communication and cooperation with embassies, international organizations, international think tanks and relevant institutions, and has held many events including the Francophonie Ambassadors Symposium “Francophonie, China and Sustainable Development” and the CCG Ambassador’s Roundtable Series “China and the Pacific Alliance: Regional Cooperation for the Next Decade”. CCG is an important China-based platform for global policy interaction. CCG also recently released a new publication titled China and the World in a Changing Context: Perspectives from Ambassadors to China.
