Yizhe Daniel Xie, a non-resident research fellow at CCG and macroeconomist at a London-based global macro hedge fund SPX Capital. He has an extensive experience in both private and public international financial & policy institutions across Asia and Europe including Asian Development Bank Institute (Tokyo), Goldman Sachs (Beijing) and Industrial Bank of Korea Securities (Seoul). He also held visiting positions at leading think-tanks in the US, India, Indonesia and the Philippines. His research interests include international economics and finance, economic globalization and regional integration. Apart from academic and policy research, his work appeared widely in news & policy outlets across Asia-pacific region. He studied economics and finance in China, Japan, Korea and the UK, obtained his PhD from Waseda University. During his PhD, he was also a visiting PhD Scholar at the London School of Economics. He speaks Chinese, English, Korean and Japanese.
