Researcher of CASS Institute of Law
He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Law of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a professor at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the deputy editor-in-chief of Global Law Review, and the editor-in-chief of the Blue Book on Network Rule of Law. He is the executive director of the Chinese Jurisprudence Research Association, the executive director of the Chinese Legislation Research Association, and the director of the Chinese Society of Network and Information Law and the Society for the Study of Socialist Theory of the Rule of Law with Chinese Characteristics.
His research fields are rule of law theory, comparative politics, network governance and rule of law. In recent years, he has devoted himself to the research of legal issues in network security, data governance, Internet information content, new technologies and applications of artificial intelligence, and digital economy.
He has presided over 2 major projects of the National Social Science Foundation of China, 2 special commissions of the National Social Science Foundation of China and other national social science projects, and about 20 ministerial-level projects of the Supreme People’s Court, the Central Propaganda Department, the Central Committee of Political and Legal Affairs, the Central Internet Information Office, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Justice, the National Health Commission, the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration, etc., and about 20 projects commissioned by other organizations. He has published 3 academic monographs, 6 translations, 9 edited or co-edited books, more than 60 papers in academic journals.
