He graduated from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. He has worked in Chinese embassy in Australia, Iran, Eritrea, Liberia, Botswana, Tanzania and other countries for more than 20 years, and served as Deputy Representative of the Chinese Mission to the African Union and Consul General of China in Denpasar (Bali), Indonesia. He is a member of the Chinese Public Diplomacy Association and a distinguished researcher of the China Institute of African Studies (CASS).
