Chinese President Xi Jinping and his U.S. counterpart Joe Biden met virtually on Tuesday, Beijing time. They exchanged views on strategic, comprehensive and fundamental issues pertaining to bilateral relations. Last week, the world’s two largest economies surprised the world with a joint declaration on climate action, but they also had heated words over Taiwan. So, what did the meeting of the two leaders reveal about the future of this complicated relationship? And can the two countries find a better path for peaceful coexistence?

Guests:

Dr. Wang Huiyao, President of the Center for China and Globalization(CCG);

Peter Kuznick, Professor of history at American University;

Carl Fey, Professor of international business at Aalto University School of Business in Finland.
