Wang Jian, Research Fellow of University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences,CCG Non-resident Senior Fellow
Research fellow at Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and professor at University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He graduated from Nankai University and the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and received a PhD in history.
Wang Jian has been a visiting scholar at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto University, Waseda University, and the Institute of International Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. Wang holds part-time academic appointments at Cross-Strait Research Center of Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Center for Taiwan Studies of Fudan University and Xiamen University, and he serves as a director of Chinese Association for Japanese Studies, Society for Sino-Japanese Relations History, Society for Japanese History and China Association of Marine Affairs.
His main research areas are Japanese history and Sino-Japanese relations, Taiwan Strait issues, etc, and his academic monographs include Studies on the History of Post-War US-Japan-Taiwan Relations (1945-1995), The Evolution of Post-War Japan-Taiwan Economic Relations, and The Formation and Development of Japanese Enterprise Groups.
