Harvey Dzodin: US in no position to judge China’s human rights
March 26 , 2021Compared with the United States, which has a history of poor and broken human rights, China has made great achievements in fighting the COVID-19 epidemic and poverty alleviation, thus the basic rights of the people have gradually improved in the country. As the Bible says, only he who is without sin should cast the first stone, therefore the US is in no position to criticize others unless its own record is spotless.
Harvey Dzodin, a senior researcher at CCG, said that China has made great progress in fighting COVID-19, poverty alleviation, education and life expectancy. In comparison, the US tops the global list for not only the number of COVID-19 cases at more than 30 million and more than a half million deaths and US minorities have suffered disproportionately from COVID-19. Life expectancy has continued its years-long decline in the US while in China it has risen steadily for decades. On education, China’s literacy rate exceeds even the US by many measures. As for the so-called “genocide”, Native Americans were subjected to many different forms of violence when European settlers arrived in the Americas.
