Zhang is chairman of China management committee of King & Wood Mallesons, specializing in PE fund formation and investments, M&A, corporate restructuring and domestic/offshore IPOs, as well as outbound M&A by Chinese companies.
Zhang received his LL.M. from Stanford Law School. He also has an Executive MBA degree from Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business. Zhang is qualified in both PRC and New York State of the United States.
Zhang was awarded the title of National Excellent Lawyer and is one of the first-batch part-time legal advisers of Shanghai government. He is member of the standing committee of the All-China Youth Federation, member of CPPCC Shanghai Committee and Deputy Director of Social and Legal Affairs Committee under the CPPCC, member of the standing committee of Shanghai Youth Federation, vice president of Shanghai New Social Stratum Association, member of the Dean’s Advisory Council and Asia Advisory Board of Stanford Law School, member of the Entrepreneur Council of Chinese Economists 50 Forum, arbitrator of Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, supervisor for master degree candidates at East China University of Political Science and Law, School of Law of Shanghai International Studies University and School of Law of University of International Business and Economics.
