CCG hosts young fellows from renowned Israeli education program

On June 28, 2016, the Center for China and Globalization welcomed more than 20 young fellows from the Argov Fellows Program in Leadership and Diplomacy at its headquarters office, and introduced to them CCG’s development as one of the most influential independent think tanks in China.

The Argov Fellows Program in Leadership and Diplomacy is an initiative built on the legacy of former Israeli Ambassador Shlomo Argov z”l. Based in Israel, the program selects around 20 exceptional students in IDC Herzliya, a renowned Israeli academic institution, in their final year of undergraduates studies for future leadership positions for Israel and the Jewish people.

CCG was the only think tank that the program visited during its trip in China. At the meeting with the delegation, CCG President Wang Huiyao and several key staff introduced to them CCG’s history, expertise and achievement, and discuss with them the issues including China’s role in the world, entrepreneurship of overseas Chinese returnees, and comparison of Chinese and American think tanks.

“We sincerely appreciate CCG for this great opportunity that allows our young fellows to gain deeper understanding and unique perspectives about China’s think tanks,” said Mr. Lidor Bar David, head of the delegation.

The program, conducted entirely in English, combines academic training and practical skills. Through a year-long, challenging interdisciplinary curriculum, the program seeks to help the students acquire the knowledge, tools, skills and critical thinking abilities necessary for working towards meeting the many challenges that Israel faces in today’s complex global environment.
