CCG President Meets with Heritage Foundation Founder
CCG President Wang Huiyao had a discussion with Dr. Edwin J. Feulner, the founder of the Heritage Foundation, a prestigious think tank in the United States, about the future cooperation, as a way to contribute to a strengthened Sino-US relationship.
With its headquarters in Washington D.C. and founded in 1973, the Heritage Foundation is one of the most influential research think tanks in the United States. The Heritage Foundation, in partnership with the Wall Street Journal, publishes the annual Index of Economic Freedom that measures a country’s freedom in terms of property rights and freedom from government regulations. It also organizes the Young Leaders Program, and effectively communicates with the US Congress on various policy-related issues. Through in-depth and rigorous research methods, it has strong policy impact in the United States.
China and the United States have extensive economic and trade relations as well as robust people-to-people exchange. They share a wide range of common interest at a deep level. As the largest independent think tank in China, CCG has been closely watching the development of the Sino-US relations, since the beginning of the US presidential campaign. CCG founder Wang Huiyao said that the think tanks in the both countries shall step up the cooperation and exchange of their views, to play a more significant role in the “Track Two” public diplomacy efforts.
