A fresh Chapter, the 19th National Congressof the Communist Party of China will take place in October, and that would determine who will run the world’s second largest economy for the next 5 years. Now the meeting is attracting extensive attention, as China strives towards being an all-around, moderately prosperous society, while developing a socialist system with Chinese characteristics in this critical period. What sort of leadership change and new policies can be expected during this meeting? What will changes to China’s political agenda affect the rest of the world?

The Point today will address the agenda and highlight of the meeting, as well as take a look at the changes that took place in China over the past 5 years in the political field. The studio invited Dr. Wang Huiyao, President of Center for China and Globalization (CCG), Doris Naisbitt, Co-author of Creating a Megatrend, and Laurence Brahm, founding director of Himalayan Concensus Institute, to share their opinions.
